Dress for the biggest day of your life with confidence

If there is one day when you shouldn’t have to compromise on how you look, it’s your wedding day. Designing a custom wedding suit gives you complete control over how you look and feel.

The fitting and design process takes 1-2 hours – a fraction of the time you’d spend shopping for something far less unique off the rack. Even better, the finished look will give you the confidence to stand tall and proud as you say ‘I do’.

To get started, book an individual fitting, or a group fitting for your wedding party.

What happens at your consultation?

First thing’s first: how do you want to look and feel on the day? From there, we take you through our unique five-step process  to tailor to your wedding theme.

Even if you are not 100% sure what you want yet, this process gives you clarity and guides you to make selections with confidence.

Along the way, we also teach you what colours and styles work for you, so you leave with new knowledge about how to dress well.

Step 1: Construction and style

First we consider the overall look: the shape of the garment, what you will be wearing it for and the right construction for your natural proportions. Then we move on to details such as lining, canvassing and pockets, all in accordance with the style you are aiming for.

Choose from hundreds of linens, wools and cottons. The first step is selecting colours that complement the rest of the bridal party and your complexion. Then we consider, textures that accentuate the shape of the suit and the dress code. Finally, select complementary finishes including buttons, cuffs and monogramming.

Step 2: Fabric and finishes

Step 3: Measure and fit

A custom suit moves effortlessly with you, allowing you to dance with your partner, high five friends and hug your family. And that’s why this step is the most in-depth part of your consultation. We take detailed measurements, paying attention to proportion, length and balance. Then once you are measured up, we test the fit against your natural movements.

At our adjoining alterations studio, many repairs we perform are due to incorrect care. To ensure this doesn’t happen to you, we explain storage, dry cleaning (you can overdo it), ironing and letting your garments breathe. You don’t have to remember everything, because we give you a copy of The Suit Book that outlines these details.

Step 4: Maintenance

Step 5: Re-order

Did your wedding give you a taste for custom tailoring? Your measurements are kept on file, so you can return and easily continue to build your wardrobe. Add to your suit collection or utilise our custom tailoring service to custom design casual garments that get better with every wear.

"Outstanding custom suit and tailoring…

Having trusted them with my alterations for a while, I decided to try their custom-made service and was not disappointed with their ability to deliver. Clare’s expertise and care given to helping me customise (from a large selection of options) and find the right cut and fabric to fit me perfectly was unrivalled.

Also with a few fittings, it guaranteed a great fit that provided not only a professional result but also gave me outstanding confidence in the suit. Would recommend anyone looking to add an impressive suit to their wardrobe."

We wrote the book on suits

Should that crease be there? How long should my trousers be? Why won’t my jacket sit properly? Our founder Clare heard these questions so often, she wrote a book to help you buy better suits.

Using real examples and illustrations, Clare outlines what to look for and all the questions you didn’t know you should be asking when trying on a suit. These easy-to-follow tips will ensure you never buy the wrong suit again.
